NEWSLETTER – 12.6.2026 Red 1 Red 1 bug detectives have been enjoying hunng for bugs in the outdoor classroom, Forest School and KS1 field. The children have discovered the best places to find different types of bugs within the outdoor areas and have learnt that these places are called habitats’. The children had their favourite bugs, but some of the children preferred the bugs which didn’t move. “I care for you - A poem written by Jess Shears, a local parent carer. In the near future, we would love to hold more coffee mornings/run events specifically for parents and carers in school. Some ideas we had included a “Make your own resources” session where parents would be guided through soware and given the resources to create visuals to take home, for example, or just a Coffee, Cake and Catch Up event where you could chat to other parents/carers. We would love to hear your thoughts or ideas on what you would like to see or what we could do to enable you to be able to access such events. Drop a comment below or email any thoughts/suggesons to mkerr@evergreenprimary.co.uk I care for you. Somemes it feels like that’s my only role. Like every other part of me stopped exisng, and you changed my whole world. Some days that can be scary. Some days that can be overwhelming. Some days that can be too much… But I care for you. As the days go by I struggle to remember the old me. The one that cared about work. The one who could go on holiday when I fancied. The one who had hopes and dreams that could change freely. Now there’s a new me, The one who cares for you. The new me is different. I’ve learnt how to ght; Fight for treatments, fight for fairness and, fight for understanding, Because I care for you. My world looks different now. I choose to fill it with things for you. I choose to fill it with people who make me happy. I choose to fill it with love. It’s not the life I thought I would have, But that’s okay with me… Because I care for you. We are delighted to share that some of the Year 6 pupils have been selected to take part in an excing project called Beyond the Classroom . This project will provide pupils with a series of outdoor experiences designed to support their confidence, wellbeing, and teamwork as they prepare for their transion to secondary school. These experiences will give children the opportunity to spend time outdoors, try new acvies, and work together in a different environment. The project has been fully funded by The Hedley Foundaon. We are very excited to be part of this opportunity and are confident it will be a memorable and valuable experience for all pupils and staff involved. Dates for your Diary 2026.
