Evergreen Lumiere 2017

Our “Fabulous Finish” for our topic this term “Colour my World” was a Lumiere festival.  We were very privileged to have “Stuart Langley” come along with his fantastic “Stained Glass Cars” project which have also been displayed at Durham Lumiere.  Classes worked extremely hard over the term on their installation projects which were all inspired by the work of Stuart.

A walkway of decorated jars lined the pathways and our very own “Evergreen Mini Police” led the lantern parade through our sensory garden. Visitors looked on in awe at the work on display and finally were met by a giant LED fairy and glowing bubbles on the KS1 yard.

Parents and children helped to paint a stained glass project that will be displayed in school and UV face paints added extra colour and excitement to the event, for both pupils and staff!

We once again had a fantastic turn out with approximately 150 people coming along to the event.  WE would like to thank you for your ongoing support.

The following day we recreated the Lumiere in our sports hall so that those children who couldn’t attend the event could still experience it.
